The Métis Nation – Saskatchewan will provide $2.88 million with $110,000 to each of the MN-S twelve Regions as the first relief response of COVID-19. This interim funding provides some relief for the immediate needs for Métis families in the area of childcare, personal protective equipment, regional capacity and Métis households in financial distress. This is a part of a broader relief effort and further relief efforts are to come.
MN-S Emergency Housing Support Program: $500 maximum per Métis household
MN-S Childcare Support: One-time funding of $500 per child
MN-S Personal Protective Equipment Program: Regions will prioritize the delivery of PPE supplies to at-risk citizens
