President Chartrand welcomes the conference participants on Day one

Minorities in Canada – Coming Together was held on November 18-20, 2019 at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, Ontario. The  conference featured a broad range of dynamic speakers including academics, published authors and leaders from a variety of visible minority communities. The three themes of the conference were rights, education, and the economy focusing on issues and challenges faced by Canada’s minorities in parallel to the experiences of the Métis Nation. The conference also explored Métis Nation specific issues including identity, place and appropriation.
