On Thursday, June 13, 2019, the leaders of the Métis Nation will be meeting with Prime Minister Trudeau and his Ministers for the third Métis Nation–Crown Summit between these Confederation Partners.
The meeting will be held 9 am to 12:00 pm at Room 415, Wellington Building at 180 Wellington Street.
Following the meeting, Sub-Accords will be signed on Economic Development, Homelessness and Governance. These will require signatures from Ministers O’Regan, Bennett, Parliamentary Secretary Vaughan (on behalf of Minister Duclos), the President of the Métis National Council and the Presidents of its Governing Members.
The Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Navdeep Bains, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Health Ginette Petitpas Taylor, and Minister of Indigenous Services Seamus O’Regan will be in attendance.
